Newsletter 22nd January 2016

Friday 22nd January 2016

Last week was Pyjama Week, the children enjoyed coming into school wearing their pyjamas and bringing in their favourite books to share with their friends. Thank you to the parents that were able to come into pre-school to read their favourite childhood stories to the children, the children really enjoyed hearing the stories.  The children also helped to make a display of some of the books that we read with them throughout the week.

Date for your diary – Next week (week commencing 25th January 2016 to 29th January 2016) will be Pirate Week at pre-school. Many of the children have been talking about pirates and treasure, therefore to follow on this interest we are to have a Pirate Week.  Children are invited to wear a Pirate outfit if they wish however we do have dressing up costumes at pre-school should they wish to use our dressing up clothes.  During this week we will be looking for treasure, making pirate ships and learning new songs and rhymes.  We would really appreciate any large cardboard boxes that you may have so we can use them during this week, thank you.

Donations gratefully received….. As we are a charity and need to keep our costs down we would be grateful for any items such as paper or card for the children to use in the creative area, boxes of tissues, antibac spray, toilet cleaner, toilet tissue and kitchen roll that you may be able to provide for us to use. We thank you in advance for any items that you are able to send in.

Lost Property Box.  Please check the lost property box at the main door for any items that belong to your child.  Snack pots are placed in this box to ensure they do not get removed from your child’s drawers and mislaid.  Therefore please ensure you check the Lost Property box for any snack tubs that you may not have had returned to you.

Should you have any queries please speak to a member of staff, thank you.
