Courtney Ladybirds is a small term time only preschool, who strives to provide a positive atmosphere for 2 to 4 year olds, this year we have 58 children on our register with a maximum number of 27 children per session.
We provide outstanding care meeting the diverse needs of every child and are committed to providing a safe, secure but also fun environment that put into practice the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
We believe that through our planning, resources and spontaneous appropriate play children can independently learn and develop skills while building positive relationships. Our observations then identify where children are in their learning and development. We have 9 members of staff with a range of qualification up to NVQ level 5.
Courtney Lady Birds Pre-School is a registered charity that is run by the parents who form the management committee. All parents are encouraged to join the committee, without which the Pre-School cannot run.
Committee meetings take place 4 times a year, these are very informal and everyone is welcome to attend. The first meeting is the Annual General Meeting (AGM) this meeting takes place every Autumn at which the committee positions (Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer etc.) are appointed for the following school year.
The committee is responsible for the management of the Pre-School and its finances along with the employment and appraisal of the members of staff. The day-to-day running of the Pre-School, activity and curriculum planning are the responsibility of the Manager and her team.
We would like to encourage all parents to become involved with our Pre-School in one way or another, to support your child’s early years setting and provide input into the way things are run. You may well develop new friendships and skills yourself through helping out and getting to know other families with children of a similar age.
The success and long-term future of Courtney Ladybirds Pre-School depends on YOUR support – so get involved with your child’s best interests at heart! If you would like more information on becoming a valuable committee member, please come into the preschool and speak to Claire the Manager who will put you in touch with the current Committee Chair Lynne Mahony.
If you would like to add your child’s name to our waiting list or come in for a visit then please call or email us. We look forward to hearing from you.
